Testing
Thanks to some helpful dudes out there and my
friends, WallPampered has been successfully used and tested with all versions of
Windows.
All features have been put through rigorous tests, under all possible Photoshop
and Windows scenarios, so you don't have to worry about a thing.
Bugs
Well, thankfully so far, there are none, and from the previous release of WallPampered, none were reported...
There are however, some known issues with Windows and Photoshop which are out of my hands.
1) When using WallPampered for positioning your
wallpaper or in 8 bit mode, the current layer in Photoshop must be visible.
2) For the stretch option, Active Desktop must be present in Windows. It
need
not be enabled but it must be present.
3) Some versions of Windows allowed positioning of the wallpaper by using
registry keys. However this implementation is inconsistent across different
Windows versions, so WallPampered does not make use of these keys. However if
they are present on your system (very unlikely) they could hamper the working of
WallPampered, and they must be deleted.
The key names are: WallpaperOriginX and WallpaperOriginY and they are present in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
If WallPampered is working fine, then forget about it.
4) The absolute position of the wallpaper may not be maintained if you change
your screen resolution.
Bug Reporting / Feature Requests
Though unlikely, it is possible that
WallPampered does not work as expected on your system.
In that case you would be doing me a favor by mailing
me with the error message that you received and your Windows and Photoshop
versions; please include any other relevant information.
On the other hand, if you want more out of WallPampered, or you have some
suggestions or comments, then please feel free to drop
me a line.
Thanks.
